Simply sauces: Apple & sage

Dress up your lunch with some apple and sage. One serving contains 0.8g of your daily requirement of 1.5-3g of plant stanols.

ingredients

50g Buttery Taste Spread

450g cooking apples , peeled, cored & chopped

3 x chopped sage leaves

1tbsp sugar

2tbsp water

Cooking

1.

Place cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped, in a small pan with sage, sugar and water.

Simmer gently for 5 minutes until pulpy.

3.

Then stir in Benecol® Buttery Taste Spread until melted.

4.

Cool slightly before serving.
